Rental homes and apartments are becoming costly every day, so you're not alone if you're still concerned about their growing cost! In fact, RENTCafé released its annual U.S. rent report and found that the national average rent grew 3 per cent in December 2019. We also noticed that renters around the country are paying about $43 more a month relative to rentals in December 2018.

Manhattan is the most expensive city in the US when it comes to living costs, with tenants expected to pay more than $4,000 a month for an average rental apartment.

The report also noted that Arizona has seen a significant rise in rentals for apartments in the past 12 months in Phoenix. According to the study by RENTCafé, the' Valley of the Sun' saw a increase of 9.6 per cent with an average rent of around $1,123.

Las Vegas finished second with a 6 per cent rent rise between 2018 and 2019, while Austin, Texas' capital, increased by 5 per cent.
