The spread of coronavirus is uncontrollable and decreases its size – government and health authorities across the globe are urging people to stay home and practice social distance. This means no eating out, shopping, cycling, getting-togethers with family and moving theatres.

Citizens love going to the cinema in this digital era for the latest movies too. It's not only a good form of entertainment but a kind of 'escapism' that makes them shut off reality and enjoy a nice 90 minute vision.

Unfortunately that's not possible in these critical times!

One of the greatest successes was the movie theatres, with self-isolation and social distance, the only weapons available to fight the pandemic. As well as closing down theaters around the country, Hollywood has postponed countless releases too. In fact, the Mojo Box Office reports that domestic box office earnings this week ending March 12 and 69 per cent are down 52 per cent.

Sadly, this is just the beginning and with a probable closure scheduled for weeks – even months will help the industry in every way possible. The National Association of Theater Owners has written a statement in this regard and has asked the authorities to assist them during this time. NATO called on Congress and the Government to keep their theaters and thousands of employees safe.
