Using face masks can sound strange, but this is what we all need to do to avoid spreading COVID-19. When we go out to the public, we do not use face masks designed for healthcare workers, but instead use handmade cloth masks. Making a face mask yourself is quick, even if you're not super handy.

To make a face mask you would need a bandana and some hair bands, without being able to sew. Whether you have only basic sewing skills, some squares of fabric and some elastic will do the trick. Tighter woven fabric would work better though cloth mask efficacy research ended when the N95 mask was invented.
If you don't want to make a mask, there are tons of masks available at ETSY from home sewers that seek to help their communities. Depending about how often you're going out and your laundry cycle you're definitely going to need more than one mask.

Take the time to learn how to keep your mask on correctly and take it off. Wash, and store properly. Find out more about the face masks below!
