COVID-19 allows many businesses to discharge their employees – either temporarily or permanently, leaving a number of people unemployed during these evaluation times. There are also many companies that are hiring. And recruiting, not just for small openings, for hundreds and even thousands of positions.

For a majority of the world facing some extent of lockdown in their regions for unspecified periods, people are struggling to fill their homes with the food and other available household supplies. This has left many shortages to grocers, and those who are struggling with food distribution.
According to a survey by NPR and Market Watch, there are many distribution and delivery firms looking to fill open positions during the ongoing coronavirus. In reality, Instacart, a retail delivery company, has an opportunity for nearly 300,000 contract workers while Walmart and Amazon aim to recruit at least 150,000 and 100,000 employees respectively.

In addition, the food joints that are open to take-out and delivery are also seeing a boom in their business and have vacancies available to interested workers. That includes Pizza Hut and Papa John's Pizza, and more than 20,000 temporary and part-time staff jobs.
