As the government has decided to close down restaurants, gyms, hospitals, cinemas, and bars along with other businesses – UK people take matters into their own hands and even follow a DIY system for their needs and entertainment.

Interestingly, this has also inspired 'home-bound' people to try their hand at personal grooming. Most DIYers are looking for tips and advice on how to cut their own hair with men's and women's salons closed around the world.
In fact, figures from Google Trends show a spike in the search term 'how to cut your own hair' just one day after the UK Government declared a nationwide lockdown. YouTube videos relating to DIY haircuts, facials and other significant grooming have become popular in the countries facing the lockdown.

Failure to reach the salon for a scheduled haircut might not, of course, be a worrying circumstance – compared to the global pandemic we face. Nevertheless, it is a fascinating trend and reveals how the large population of the world struggles to cope with the present scenario.
