Pandemics are nothing new, there have been quite a few times in history when a virus has ended up deadly enough to cause global hysteria. The Ebolavirus is a big one for many but what about other lesser-known viruses that are just as deadly? The Dengue virus has a death toll of 22,000 people worldwide each year, or the Rotavirus which kills an estimated 450,000 children every year!

Based on their mortality rate, the CEUFast.com chart ranks among the deadliest viruses in history, with rabies remaining 100 per cent at the top of the list if the disease is not treated immediately. Fortunately, the rabies virus has a vaccine, but the same can not be said for many of those deadly viruses which take thousands of lives each year. Why is the modern coronavirus that currently triggers a worldwide pandemic compared with other viruses in terms of how lethal it is?
