If you're a coffee lover missing the fresh scent from your favorite Starbucks store then we have some good news for you!

Having observed the closure of all its dining rooms since mid-March due to US lockdown restrictions, Starbuck is considering reopening selected stores from May 4 as a way to bring back some normalcy in the city.

Starbucks executive vice president Rossann Williams posted a letter to his employees and associates, announcing the company's decision to open as many stores as possible beginning May 4. However, he said the firm should ensure 'updated operations and high-end protections.'

According to the reopening policy of Starbuck, any employee who has no pre-existing COVID-19-related risks must report back to work at selected stores scheduled for reopening.

The coffee-joint will continue to offer insurance and pay the staff who work an extra $3 an hour. But the insurance for the tragedy does not apply to healthy staff who intend not to operate after reopening the stores starting May 3.
The decision by Starbucks to reopen the stores comes as a surprise as other major retailers and companies have chosen to remain closed – with the government forcing businesses to resume some operations with strengthened security protocols. The organization is preparing to get fully operational by June.

Starbuck will also post its earnings report for Q1 2020 on April 28th.

Let's look at the states in the chart below, with most Starbucks stores.
