Imagine a company developing the first artificially intelligent humanoid robot in 20 or 30 years. Name her "Ava." Looks like a person, communicates like a child, interacts like a person being. If you were to meet Ava, you could relate to her, even though you know she's a robot.
Ava is a fully aware, fully self-conscious being: it communicates; it wants stuff; it is forming itself. She is also considerably smarter than her human parents. Her intelligence and problem-solving ability is greater than any living human being's combined efforts.
