Any of the pop culture's best known characters are synonymous with their hairstyles and/or head-accessories. Today we seem to be at some of the hairstyles that are most readily recognizable to grace our televisions.

Hairstyles are constantly changing and developing and we're no longer just thinking about the ultra-modern craze of shaved heads we see on Instagram. People continually come up with new and creative things that they can do with their hair, and we can also find patterns that are mirrored in pop culture. Some hairstyles have even become so iconic (such as the Fifties beehives or the mullets of the 1980s) that when it was once filmed primarily based on the hairstyles of the characters alone, we can flip onto an ancient television show and guess round.

Pop fashion, of course, sometimes ends up beginning a style as a substitute rather than actually representing it. Only take a look at the iconic "Rachel" haircut from the Friends TV show and you'll see what I mean. Then there are the hairstyles that are immediately identifiable even though we can't reproduce them by chance, like the "Marge Simpson" or "Johnny Bravo"
As you can see from this infographic, in fact, from time to time the hair makes the character. See how many on these 65 well-known hairdos you can capture by fashion alone!
