Men Are More Likely to Back Up Their Files Than Women [STUDY] #infographic

The machines do have a malfunction. It can hobble your profitability, your business and leave a hole in your digital memory by losing vital data.

While many are now doing their work and playing on far-flung servers (we store our messages in Gmail and hold our family photos on Facebook), if hardware fails, critical data on your desktop or tablet can not be recoverable.
Seagate and Harris Interactive conducted a study of 2,205 people in the U.S. — 90% of whom felt the digital content was worth it. Yet 30 per cent of surveyed women do not back up their files at all. That's never backed up to 19 per cent of people. Only 10 percent of adults checked their files back up every day.

And despite the prevalence of cloud storage services such as DropBox and Carbonite, they are only used by 8 percent of respondents, preferring external hard drives and USB flash drives.
