Key roles of An Aged Care Worker include but are not limited to:

The minimum certification in the Aged Care Industry is either Cert III or IV. While educational standards are not that stringent, employers tend to recruit skilled labor.

When anyone chooses to deal with elderly people, a Criminal Background Check may be required according to the Aged Care Act 1997. It ensures that all staff and volunteers are eligible to care for the elderly and are not disciplined for any crimes that could endanger the health of the elderly / disabled.
