Independence Day in the Time of Coronavirus #infographic

When we approach July 4th during the pandemic we have decided to ask guests to our website about their holiday plans. We wanted to know how coronavirus can affect how people spend this day, and whether their political beliefs play any part in their celebrations and precautionary choices. 1,208 website users participated in the survey conducted on Nuwber.com about 15 June and 19 June 2020. Related observations to remember, for example:

  • Republicans (52 percent) are 3.5x more likely than democrats (15 percent) to socialize and meet others.
    Democrats are four times more likely to attend a virtual meeting than Republicans (4 per cent) (13 per cent).
    Republicans (19 per cent) are 6 times more likely than Democrats (3 per cent) to miss anti-coronavirus steps.
    Republicans are almost twice as likely as Democrats to use patriotic elements such as flags, streamers and balloons during the event (63% vs. 35%).
